Tempered Glass is produced by heating the float glass to approximately 700c and cooling its surface rapidly. Rapid cooling creates compressive stress on the surface of the glass.
Tempered glass processing in Sri Lanka is professionally conducted by industrial leaders like Intertech International to meet the 100% client requirement and demand. We have 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm thickness tempered glasses.
It is more resistant to thermal shock, bending and withstands higher wind loads. In heat strengthening the glass is quenched at a slower rate that result less compressive tension than that of tempered glass. The breakage pattern of this glass is linear and the fragments are more likely remain in place. The main features are harmless fragments, high mechanical strength and thermal stability.
